Working Personalities

Learning about personalities is fascinating to me. It’s probably natural for a kid to believe that humans exist somewhere from a good person to a bad person, but as we grow older, we consider other qualities, giving a much richer picture of how different people are wired differently:

  • Big picture thinker vs. good at details

  • Challenge the way things are vs. keeping the peace

  • Analytical thinking vs. creative processes

  • Learning from the past vs. preparing for the future

  • Keep emotions in check vs. lead with emotions

As much as I learned about personalities, any given person is infinitely more diverse and unique than a personality test can indicate. The greatest benefit for me is knowing that people do not do the same things I would do because they do not see the world the same way I do. Instead of criticizing someone's actions, I can be curious about them. I hope people give me grace in the same way.

I completed the Working Genius Certification Training offered through the Table Group this past week. I received hands-on Table Group team training to become a Certified Working Genius Facilitator. I have been equipped with the tools and resources to help people leverage the Working Genius model with individuals, teams, and organizations.

Working Genius is 20% about your personality at work and 80% about how you productively interact with others at work.

  • Develop leadership

  • Increase team productivity

  • Increase team cohesion

  • Clarify the process of work

  • Create a common language for work

There are many interesting personality profiles, but I enjoy Working Genius because it’s also about how to get stuff done. If you want to know more about Working Genius and how it can benefit you and your team, please Contact Us.
